Generation Z and the future of advertising

It’s fair to say that when we’re all in the thick of our working day it’s hard to look up from our immediate tasks and our relentless pursuit of ‘the best’ – creative excellence and effectiveness, happy clients, and commercial efficiency. One of the most critical parts of our collective industry responsibility can easily fall down the list of priorities – developing the next generation.
At Founded, we strongly believe that we have a responsibility for developing young talent, which is why we set up Founded U from the moment we started, in 2012, and why over 160 young people have participated in the work experience programme so far. These range from GCSE students and undergrads to the recently graduated and career shifters.
Founded U participants work on real, live briefs in small, fast-moving teams, and are genuinely involved and heard. We don’t believe in shadowing or setting fake or mundane tasks. It’s about getting stuck in from day one, whether it’s in account management, planning, digital strategy or production, and being closely mentored along the way.
We want every single Founded U participant to feel that they have grown, both professionally and personally, by the end of the programme.
